Sara Watkins
Sara Watkins (born June 8, 1981) is an American fiddler, singer, and songwriter from Southern California who formed Nickel Creek as a child with her brother Sean Watkins and mandolinist Chris Thile. The trio's 2000 album made them stars of progressive acoustic music, and they won IBMA's Emerging Artist of the Year in 2000 and Instrumental Group of the Year in 2001, as well as a Grammy for This Side (2002). She has since released solo albums, co-founded the trio I'm With Her with Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O'Donovan, and hosted the Watkins Family Hour.
