Peggy Peterson Stoneman

Peggy Peterson Stoneman (also known as Peggy Brain) was an American bluegrass and traditional country resonator guitar (Dobro) player. She joined the family ensemble the Blue Grass Champs (later known as The Stoneman Family) in 1956, performing alongside multi-instrumentalists Scotty, Donna, and Jimmy Stoneman. She recorded on the group's early Ben Adelman Studio tracks in Washington, D.C., including the 1957 singles "Heartaches Keep on Coming" and "The Haunted House". Following her marriage to bassist Oscar James "Jimmy" Stoneman, she worked as a freelance studio musician primarily appearing on Rural Rhythm Records catalog productions for artists including Mac Wiseman and Tater Tate.
