WMLB

Media / Broadcast

WMLB (1170 AM) was a prominent radio station licensed to Cumming, Georgia, that broadcasted from October 13, 1961, to July 2003. Originally launched under the call sign WSNE, the station underwent several ownership and format changes—including stretches as a Southern Gospel and country station—before finding acclaim under the WMLB call letters as an award-winning Americana, news, and talk station. The station permanently signed off the air in the summer of 2003 after its final owner, the Corey Broadcast Group, took it silent to allow a power increase for a sister station on a nearby frequency.
