Vern & Ray

Vern & Ray were Vern Williams (mandolin) and Ray Park (guitar and fiddle), a duo originally from Arkansas who became central figures in California's bluegrass scene from the late 1950s through the 1970s, known for their high, hard-edged duet singing. Their band at times included Herb Pedersen, and they influenced younger West Coast musicians including Laurie Lewis.
