Tom Bekeny
Tom Bekeny (born March 12, 1954) is an American bluegrass and jazz mandolinist, fiddler, and instructor. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he entered the California roots scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s by performing with groups such as Done Gone, Tenbrooks, and the initial iteration of Laurie Lewis's Grant Street String Band. In 1988, he joined High Country, recording on prominent albums including Sunset on the Prairie (1995) and The Earthquake (1997). In 1996 he joined the Kathy Kallick Band whom he continues to play with today.
