Talk of the Town
Bands / Ensembles
Talk of the Town was a bluegrass band led by banjo player Eddie Adcock, formerly of the Country Gentlemen, and his wife, guitarist and singer Martha Adcock, and based in Tennessee. After a stretch in the mid-1980s working in outlaw country singer David Allan Coe's band, the Adcocks returned to acoustic bluegrass with Talk of the Town. The lineup included Susi Gott on fiddle, Missy Raines on bass and Jody Maphis on drums. The group later became the Eddie Adcock Band. Eddie Adcock died on March 19, 2023.
