Sugar in the Gourd
Bands / Ensembles
Sugar in the Gourd was a bluegrass band. Little information is currently known about the band beyond a photograph taken by Akira Otsuka at Carlton Haney's bluegrass festival at the Crazy Horse Camp Ground in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in August 1977. Otsuka's captions identify three members by first name only: Mia on guitar, Nancy on mandolin and Joan on banjo, along with an unidentified bass player.
