Sierra Hull
Sierra Hull (born September 27, 1991) is an American bluegrass singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and mandolin virtuoso from Byrdstown, Tennessee. Initially a celebrated child prodigy who debuted on the Grand Ole Opry at age eleven alongside mentor Alison Krauss, she went on to become the first bluegrass musician awarded a Presidential Scholarship at the Berklee College of Music. Over her career, Hull has transitioned from traditional bluegrass roots into boundary-pushing contemporary acoustic and pop-infused spaces. She earned historical recognition as the first woman to win the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Mandolin Player of the Year award and became the first woman honored by Gibson with a signature Master Model mandolin. Her discography is highlighted by her Grammy-nominated albums Weighted Mind (2016) and 25 Trips (2020).
