Pam Tillis

Born in Plant City, Florida, and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, she is the eldest child of Country Music Hall of Fame member Mel Tillis. Her commercial breakthrough arrived with the gold-certified album Put Yourself in My Place (1991) and secured a string of multi-platinum successes, including the album Sweetheart's Dance (1994) and her self-penned number-one single "Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)". Her contributions to the genre were recognized by the Country Music Association with the 1994 Female Vocalist of the Year award and a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1999. She was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2000.
