Loretta Lynn
Loretta Lynn (April 14, 1932 – October 4, 2022) was an American country singer and songwriter from Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, whose frank songs about women's lives, including "Coal Miner's Daughter," "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin'," and "The Pill," made her one of country music's most important voices. She was the first woman named the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year (1972), was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988, and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013.
