Leroy Eyler

Leroy R. Eyler (C.1929–died June 22, 1995) was a bluegrass mandolinist and singer. He was a native of Carroll County, Maryland, and lived near Taneytown. He and his wife, guitarist and singer Dottie Eyler, played bluegrass and country together from the late 1950s and founded the Carroll County Ramblers in 1961. Eyler kept a day job as a tool-and-die maker in Hanover, Pennsylvania, for 37 years while the band toured nationally and recorded more than a dozen albums. Their children, Bonnie Eyler Young on bass and Dale Eyler on fiddle, joined the band. Eyler also ran the band's annual Kingsdale Bluegrass Music Festival north of Taneytown. Dottie continued the band with Bonnie and Dale after his death.
