Jan Harvey
Jan Harvey, born Jan Snider, is a bluegrass guitarist and singer. She sang lead in Wild & Blue, the band she formed with her husband, mandolinist, and guitarist David Harvey, and her sister, bassist Jill Snider. David Harvey had spent nearly four years with Larry Sparks' Lonesome Ramblers before the band formed in the late 1980s. Jan played guitar and sang lead, with Jill on tenor and David on baritone. Banjo player Barry Crabtree joined in 1995. Over its roughly 12-year run, Wild & Blue played bluegrass festivals, appeared on the Grand Ole Opry and recorded five projects. SPBGMA named it Best New Band in 1992.
