Dale Ann Bradley & Coon Creek
Bands / Ensembles
Dale Ann Bradley and Coon Creek was a bluegrass band led by singer and guitarist Dale Ann Bradley. It grew out of the New Coon Creek Girls in the late 1990s. Bradley was the lead singer and guitarist of the New Coon Creek Girls, an all-woman band from Kentucky's Renfro Valley Barn Dance, from 1991 to 1997. By the late 90s, high band member turnover led to hiring two male musicians. The band kept the Coon Creek name but centered itself around Bradley. Vicki Simmons stayed on as bassist and the band gradually transitioned to Bradley’s solo act after she signed a new record deal.
