Compass Records

Compass Records is an independent label founded in Nashville in 1995 by banjoist Alison Brown and bassist Garry West. It specializes in bluegrass, folk, Celtic, jazz, and acoustic music. The label has grown by acquisition: it bought the Green Linnet and Xenophile catalogs in 2006, Mulligan Records in 2008, and the folk and Americana label Red House Records in 2017.
