Bushwhackers
Bands / Ensembles
The Bushwhackers were an all-female bluegrass/country band based in Nashville around 1980, featuring Ginger Boatwright (vocals/guitar), Susie Monick (banjo), April Barrows (bass), Ingrid Reese (fiddle/guitar), and at times Kathy Chiavola. They released a single album on Laser Lady Records in 1980 and toured college circuits before disbanding in 1981, remembered for their role in expanding opportunities for women in bluegrass during that era.
