Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Publishers / Periodicals
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is Atlanta's daily newspaper and the flagship publication of Cox Enterprises. It combines two papers: the Atlanta Constitution, founded in 1868, and the Atlanta Journal, founded in 1883. Cox bought the Journal in 1939 and the Constitution in 1950, and the two merged into a single daily in 2001. Margaret Mitchell was a reporter for the Journal in the 1920s. The AJC printed its last paper edition on December 31, 2025, and now publishes only online.
